Clear-cut cases pass automatically; anything unclear is reviewed by our team. The Verified badge shows only once both checks have passed, with the date last checked. Zero commission, always.

Correct. ByHomeOwner does not take a percentage of your sale price or your rent. We're not an estate agent — we're a marketplace. Owners keep 100% of the sale. Agents keep 100% of their commission. Developers keep 100% of the unit sale. Verification is free, and your listing stays free while it remains verified and active. We charge only for optional boosted visibility and (for agents/developers) subscriptions. That's it.
You'll see exactly which check didn't pass and what to fix — usually a clearer ID photo, an address mismatch, or an ownership document that needs re-uploading. Correct it and resubmit; verification is free, so there is never a resubmission charge, and you can appeal a decision. Until it passes, your listing stays private rather than being deleted.
Yes — and every listing is free. You confirm your identity once for your account, then add one entitlement document per property; there is no fee and no monthly cost. Owners with 5+ active listings are usually better served by our Agent Solo tier, which is also free and gives you a branded shopfront and lead-routing tools.
Both are one-off or cancel-any-time. A Listing bump (£4.99) moves your listing back to the top of matching search results for 48 hours, as a single payment. Featured placement adds a Featured label and higher placement in search, renewing every 7 days (£14.99), 14 days (£24.99) or 28 days (£34.99) until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your Featured placement runs to the end of the period already paid for.
It is coming soon. Today we do not route leads to agents and we do not charge for leads. Buyers and renters contact you directly through your own listings and profile.

Yes. Monthly tiers (Owner boosts, Agent Team, Developer Portfolio) cancel with one click from your dashboard and stay active until the end of the current billing month. Downgrading to a free tier keeps your listings live — you just lose the extra exposure and tooling.
